Day and night animals, amazing creatures!

    I love the fact that some animals are nocturnal, while others only come out when the sun is up.
    From top to bottom: My sea pen (his name is Richard ;D). During the day he is just a small "nib" in the sandy bottom. At night...look out! He's about 8" tall and beautiful with all his flower like polyps.

    Next, probably the largest and most beautiful tube anemone I've ever seen. Bright bright fluorescent orange. During the day he's just a tiny pile of tenticles, sometimes even ducks all the way under the sand. During the evening he comes out in all his glory. Definitely one of my favs!

    Next, and on the opposite side of the coin, is my Goniopora. By far the largest one I've ever seen in person. At night, he's about the size of a tennis ball, but come day time and this guy is about 11"!!!

    I'll have to admit, this is one of my m,ost enjoyable parts of reef keeping. Thought I'd share these pics.
