I think you acted quickly enough. You might want to run some extra carbon though just to be safe.

So looks like I did get the rocks out in time everything is stable.

My girlfriend was passing through LA today and stopped at vivid to check
it out. She found these two little beauties and brought them home for me

Still plan on adding 2 more once I get the new display.
Both are still hiding right now but have started to peak out of the rock work to see what's going on.

    2 female lyretail anthias

    Thanks guys!

Buuut.. I can't get these fish to eat.

I've tried the following with no success.

    -live brine
    -frozen mysis
    - frozen other stuff
    -frozen cyclopeez
    -2 different pellets
    -2 different flakes

    Any other suggestions?

Of course the lyretail I have in there now eats pretty much all that stuff like a pig ha

I'm sure they will eventually come around. Took my goby a long time to start eating now he goes after anything I throw at him usually lol. I think your collection of SPS is great. My LFS and many actual aquariums do not even have SPS grown out to that extent. Very nice large pieces

Hello, DBarsotti. I remember your Tank On A hill thread. That was a beautiful reef. As are your others. I can't wait to see how your new system turns out.

    I love those anthias! :)

Awesome new fish. How long is it going to be on the tank? Your temp set up looks pretty sweet right now though;). May need to start fragging soon.

They started to eat last night ! Woo! haha i was starting to get worried. They are happily munching on frozen mysis now.

Thanks a bunch for you kind words ashevillian, i really appreciate it. 95% of the large colonies in my tank were all grown from 1" frags, some have been in my tank almost 4 years.

Thanks Seano! I cant wait to get this new display going, its going to be a ton of fun. I've never had this much open space to play with.

Ha yeah the temp set up is PACKED, i have to go around everyday and check to make sure corals aren't getting up in eachothers business. ha

I talked to the tank people yesterday and they said my order would start running next week, so i would assume the 3rd week of Jan it should be here.

I plan on getting everything ready for when it comes so i can fill it up and hook it into the system as soon as i get it.;D

Sooooooooooo... I've always REALLY wanted a little school of red spot glass cardinalfish.. But have read article after article about the high mortality rate. But today Divers Den had 5 of them up for grabs and i recently read a thread they put up about having success getting them to eat and even spawning in their holding tanks so i went ahead and pulled the trigger!

On wednseday i will be recieving 5 of them. I know its a huge risk but if i can keep this fish i will be so stoked. So we shall see.. I plan on keeping them in their own tank for the first few weeks and plan on adding them and the anthias to the new display before any other fish once it comes...

    fingers crossed
