So I test fit the filter with the lights on the tank. The lights are going to be hung on 8" ball bearing drawer slides so I can push the light under the cabinet when working in the tank. Only problem so far is there is almost no room to work on the filter. This may be a issue. The pic is with the lights trying to slide back. Very tight fit.

Looking good. Nice documentation with the step by step process. Interested to see how the filter works out.

so i ended up not being able to put it on the kitchen counter. it was to tight of a fit.

i got a kitchen cabinet at lowes on sale instead. yesterday i finally put the top on. its 3/4" plywood and then i bought some self stick floor vinyl peices. it actually came out pretty good.

Hey I was looking at a bathroom sink cabinet that someone had on the curb. I thought you know what that would make a good stand. I like this even better. The tank looks nice on top.

Thanks! It is very sturdy too. A good alternitive to buying a stand for a 10g. The only ones I found were the iron ones. I built this one with the top for 65 bucks.
