I am (probably) going to be joining the 65g club tomorrow. A guy from a local reef club has one he is going to drill and put an overflow in for me. I'm a little nervous about the 24 inch height, but I like the idea of the "reef wall". Do you have any suggestions for scaping? Caves? Is it possible to do two rock islands? I'm just wondering what my options are. Thanks.

i would try to stay away from the reef wall look. scaping one of these tanks is tough. i messed with mine for hours until i liked it, and now im pretty sure i will re-scape it sometime in the future. if you look at insanespain thread he did a two island kinda look that looks awesome. its possible to do it, its just tough.
what i did is put a few peices down first then took my larger peices of rock and set those on top of the other ones so it created swim throughs under most of the rock.
good luck and start a build thread!

Thanks for the tip--for what it's worth I really like your scape. I love the overhangs from the larger rock over the smaller. My goal would be to do that and/or maybe a little cave. I think just by messing around with it I'll get some nice swimthroughs.
