    thanks! it did come out pretty good i think.
    im still debating on adding a brighter light. just not sure if it will make it look less realistic and show the cut outs more. right now it looks like a haze in the distance.

    I think what you have looks good. I wonder if you could get it to look not quite so hazy? The difference b/w your rock and the background is a bit much. I think that's what you are saying, at least.

    If you let the coralline cover the back glass a bit it wouldn't contrast as much. I like the contrast looks very clean and open. I dig a more minimalist look though.

    Moved the leds around a little bit in the shadow box and switched the leds to aqua color, still going to do some more work on it tonight.

    yeah the one on the left was the first one i painted and i got a little bit carried away with the sponge painting lol i will be taking that one out and fixing it tonight along with moving the cutouts closer to the front of the box and messing with the lights some more.

    just thought about using pvc primer as fake coralline on the cutouts. hmmm
