so the time has come to upgrade my tank. The fiance let me pull the plug on this build.;D;D this is what i have so far.

marineland 90g built in corner overflow. painted back black
    black stand
    black canopy
    mag 9.5 return pump
30g sump/ fuge (ill show pics of the build. i get the 30g on wednesday)
Bashsea skimmer (local builder in michigan area)
power heads will be a assortment of hydors
lighting is right now a 4 bulb t5 sundial fixture. will be looking for retrofit t5 kits in the future. i want 8 bulb.

im using all rock from my 55, but i am putting new sand in.

so far i have planned out the sump/fuge and will be getting glass cut this weekend for baffles.
i also got under my house on sunday and put some extra support for this tank.(floor shook with the 55, didnt want the 90 falling through the floor) its hard as a rock now.

this should be a good build because i know so much more now then when i set up the 55. i should be able to plan this one out way better than i did before.

ill keep you guys posted as i move along.

looking to do the switch over in 2 weeks if i can get eveything done by then.

let me know what you think about my fuge set up. i cut the dimensions of the 30 on cardboard and gave it a rough sketch. drain is on the left with the skimmer then over under over. return section in the middle with heaters and phosban reactor. fuge on right will be fed by t in the drain line. fuge will be just over 9 gallons and it will just overflow into the return section.

so i went to go pick up my tank that was supposed to be in today for the sump fuge. they didnt get it in because the manufactor they use ran out of glass! i highly doubt that. they said it may be 2-3 weeks before they can get one so i cancelled my order from that lfs and called another one. they said they could get it by friday. i guess its not that big of a deal, i can still work on it this weekend. its just frustrating when your trying to get everything ready and something like that happens.

dang that's a bummer! I would have cancelled also the "ran out of glass" excuse sounded pretty lame.
