Had to flush a Green Chromis today. Had a school of six , now five.
It happened rather fast while I was in front of the tank he went to the bottom and I watched him over a 15 minute period .. he just tapered off.

I've heard they don't like even numbers in the school.. they all seemed to get along great.

    Am 0
    Nit 0
    Nitra 0
    Ph 8.1
    SG 1.026
    temp 77-78
Salinity was 36 .. just got the refractometer so I'm reduce that gradually. it's 35 now.

Can't really figure out why ...frustrating.

Just out of curiosity, you never saw them picking on the dead one at all? Cause you do here about the odd numbered schools. Too bad anyway. Good luck with the rest.

No,, I never saw them picking at each other. I bought a fish trap last week because I thought the Damsel was going to be a problem , but now he seems to be getting along with everyone.
Now every time I see a fish sit still near the bottom I get nervous. hehe.

Not sure about the odd number in a school thing - I've had a school of 10 for 2 years now and no problems yet 8)

Sometimes it seems like things just go, too. It sucks sometimes, like you can do everything right, and still, on occasion, lose something. Sorry for your loss

No your right. It just depends on your batch of fish. Its just a rule of thumb.
