dead coral as base rock?

    I have several dead white large brains that are like a foot across, a massive piece of feather duster tubes all bound together, and some other large stony pieces. Can I just chunk that stuff in there with the LR and let it become "live". It has way more holes in it than LR. :confused:

    Sounds like a good idea to me. I've got some coral rubble in my fuge that is now "live".

    Have a bunch of really nice pieces I picked up on beach in Bali...have in both tank and sump...About as "live" now as ever was in nature...;)
