Hey all 3-Reefers hope your fish are doin fine,

Just wondering if i could get your opinion on this..... my mate use to have a four foot marine a couple of years ago and had stacks of really nice live rock. Since then obviously from being taken out of the tank, the rock is white in colour and has sat in a secure suitcase for a couple of years. He says it is fine to put in my fish tank but do you think I should cure it first for how long?? and should i use it at all??

    cheers :)

i actually just rebuilt my 55 gallon after it sat for a year . and i did the same thing i left my old dead dry white rock right in the tank and stacked all the new stuff on top of it . but i was rebuilding . if ur introducing it to a stable tank allready i would just rinse it off and add it there will be no life on the rock so there will be no die off . so the rock wont start a cycle . should be just fine .
