dead coral?

    just got this coral from a friend breaking down their tank, they were sent to me overnight, im not sure what this coral is or if it is even alive, anybody that can ellaborate??

    Looks like a skeleton, to me.

    Sorry, Jesmon. It appears to only be the dead coral skeleton. It was a favia of some sort while it was living. Hard to tell beyond that...

    yep thats what i was guessing, a type of favia, they call it a "maze coral" i think, leptoria i think it was, it looks like all skeleton to me too =/ it was free so not a big deal but ill see under the lights in the morning if can find any tissue left that may salvage..if not, away it goes i guess =/
