Hypothetical situation. A medium size fish dies in your 195 gallon/200lbs live rock tank. You cannot find any trace of him. Do you start ripping apart live rock looking for it, or just let the CUC take care of it?

It's not a concern. Might want to check parameters and be prepared with a water change and fresh carbon, but it would be fine

    +1 on above

the fish will be dealt with quickly by the CUC IME
and like Crimson Ghost - I do not believe it will even register on your parameters in a cycled tank, but its worth monitoring to check

You would be fine. like everyone else said. As long as you have a CUC equipped for that size tank.

2 hermits and 2 snails probably couldnt handle it :) And always be ready with a water change and carbon no matter what day it is

I tested the ammonia in the tank yesterday. It was less than .25 but not zero. I had planned on doing a second water change today as soon as I get home from work. My CUC has dwindled in past months. Damn crabs eat all the snails. I've been meaning to restock from reefcleaners but I was working on getting a fuge setup for the macro algae.

Lol. Yeah:(. Poor guy. Not sure what happened really. It was a CBB. He was doing fine for the past six months. Now he's just dissappeared. He seemed ro be eating plenty was a good size not skinny at all. I'm sure he's dead but I can't find him at all. That's not much of a suprise though at night you can't find a single fish in my tank.

When I transfered my tank over, I saw my engineer goby that night and haven't seen him since. My nitrates did go up a little bit, but is comming back down.
