The only thing is I only have a little in-tank 7x7x4 refugium but I think he can stay in their in my tank for a few days long enough to see that the little male will survive without the mean female mate.

I don't think so - flame angels are pretty tough fish. Sounds to me it may not have been well from the start - sorry for the loss

the female is the more agressive of the pair (which they are or will be judging by the size and aggression difference), they are responsible for defending the turf. I would not split them up, the female is just acting normally. Try rearranging the rocks and taking the female out when introducing a new fish.

I've seen my female be extremely aggressive to my male, but it stopped after a while. Fish just pick at each other sometimes, it just happens.

    Keep the female!
And ditto on the sick angel fish. Sounds like it was sick from the get go. Sorry bout that :/

fish suggestion: pearly jawfish are pretty cool

Sounds like a problem that started at or before the LFS. One thing about serpent/brittle stars is you don't get a chance to really investigate crime scenes. We ordered 3 pep shrimp once, one went MIA right from the get-go, the other twitched until he floated under a rock, and the last one is alive and well doing his shrimp things. We haven't seen hide nor hair/antenna of the other 2 since the introduction of our Harlequin Serpent Star. And he's been MIA for a few days now, most likely digesting.

Maybe go with a Coral Beauty? I love those fish.

Flame angels are hard to keep from what I understand.....I will never own one again.
If I remember from your previous posts, you have been thinking about getting rid of the clown for a very long time....while I dont think the clown is responsible for everything you think it has done, I dont think you will be happy with it in your tank. However I would recommend keeping the two together. Perhaps trying to sell the two back as you will get more for a mated pair then a single clown.

Not a bad idea cause selling a nice loookig clown back to the LFS would probably only get me $5.00 but the pair could be $20-$25.
