Dead hermi under anemone

Hi all , new to the forum and wanna go about this the bests way possible . I came home today to find my hermit crab had molted it shell and was dead.there was an extra shell for it, I made sure of it ,but it looked like it didn't get very far, as he only was about 5 inches from his shell.first of all I'd like some insight as to why he died at all. Second I'm not sure how but I wasn't sure he was dead so I let some time pass. When I looked aGain it was under my anemone still dead.how should I go about getting it and will the anemone eat it..any reply is very aprEciated
