Dead Kenya Trees??

    I have these kenya trees growing crazy in my tank. But as their growth progressed, xenias started to die slowly not sure why. but kenya trees are hardy, give them few more days. don't stress them much by moving/touching for next few days, but make sure they get enough lighting and medium flow not strong.

    If they are falling apart i would not aim a power head at them because it may just spread pieces all over your tank and if its just stress you will have some croping to do when they liven up.

    i don't think fresh water dips are a good idea on any corals

    i would leave them alone. they will probably bounce back. i have seen mine look worst than that and still pull through.

    kenyas like low flow from what I've found, mine do this everynight, but are very perky in the day try moving it into a lower flow

    I had always been told not to Freshwater dip invertebrates of any kind. Anybody else back this up?

    Sorry to hear about your kenya.. as for flow one of my kenya loves flows and the other one hates it..

    yes, most invertebrates can't handle large changes in salinity much less being dipped in fresh water. If you want to dip corals, i would use salt water with iodine added. sorry, i didn't notice the fresh water dip in the original post.
