Dead live sand

    I got a 5 gallon bucket of once live sand but it looks like the person I got It from mixed it with ultra fine sand.I was planing on seeding it with new live sand ,is the fine sand going to be a problem?

    in my 36 before it was salt it was a fresh tank and had fine white sand in it. I justmixed with live sand and it has done fine. been going for 2 years now

    Nope, I have sugar fine, small grain and large grain mixed together in my tanks. Working for me.
