I broke down my tank the other day to re-aquascape and found 2 dead trocus snails. I have no idea how loong they have been dead in there as they were in the back of my tank behind a few rocks. When I pulled these out and smelled them, they smelled like sulfuric acid. I have been checking all my params. like crazy as I have been having problems with my zo colonies not opening all the way. Any ideas as to how these dead snails could/would pollute my H20? Could this have an effect on the zo's but not effect my other corals as they are all thriving!

My strawberry and emerald crabs have been in my tank for almost a year along with the zo's and they never seemed to harm them. Zo's have all been thriving until about 10 days ago. Is there somehting that the dead snails may have realeased into the water that I can't test for?
