That looks like a nice kit. I haven't heard much about them though. 2 certainly would be enough. What do you plan to keep?

mostly softies and some lps! Don't have the time or money to get into sps! these are killing the bank account enough!lol

BTW i think there is a glitch on their website! the 14 bulb and 24 are the same price? I can't think of anything else the system needs!?

The aquastyle kits should be fine too. With softies, wouldn't go with 60 degree optics though. 80 max, or if you hang it really low, you could go without optics. The benefit to wider optics is the colors will mix better. The tight optics will be too focused for a lot of soft corals and it won't mix as well, so, why bother...

Would a single 36 led kit work for a 29G long setup? it's 30" long.

My rule of thumb is: 1 LED per 12sq" of footprint, hang them 6" or less to the water line and you shouldn't need optics. Works for me

I am going to order a kit from aquastyle for my 20g...it's worth trying IMO

i'm reading 30 of the bridgelux per every 2' is more than enough so you should be good!

1 thing to think of is you can always dim them so get more than you think you need and dial down! Those things are cheap enough you can do it! plus all led's will be obsolete in 2 years anyways and we'll be buying the next thing!lol

I'm gonna go with around 80-100 for my 55! and just dial them down so i have good coverage area!
