    Hey, i got a 55G tank and need a skimmer. At the LFS the Coralife Super Needle-wheel skimmer 65gallon costs 159.99 brand new, or i can get a Coralife Super Skimmer needle-wheel 125gallon used for 160. Assuming the 125 works, which would be better?

    I have a coralife 65 and it rocks!!! I believe the 125 is the same skimmer just bigger

    Given the choice, the 125 would be the way to go. Also look at the AquaC Remora Pro and the Octoput BH-100F.

    For that price, you could get a MUCH better skimmer. I would go with John's suggestions ;)

    Oh yeah....definitely. And a 125 on a 55g isn't really overskimming that much. A 125g tank with this skimmer would have to be lightly stocked. Very lightly.
