Two out of three of our employees today managed to get sprayed by a skunk. The smell is so bad I have a migraine. Luckily, I was the only one to avoid getting hit, but I don't think it even matters at this point.
Here's the little devil. Bad pic, but as close as I wanted to be:

    It's not a cage, it's a trap.
We are doing work with the county to trap and spay/neuter feral cats. Sometimes cats are not the ones that end up in the traps. Usually if it's not a cat, it's a raccoon or marmot, maybe even an occasional fox. Not this time.

I used to work with my uncle who was a dog catcher.Part of his job was hauling away skunks the conservation dept was catching in town.We would just hold a tarp in front of us and throw it over the trap, they wont spray if they dont have a clear target. We hauled probably 20-30 skunks that summer and never got sprayed once.Sorry this doesn't help now but it may happen again.

No, we had stuff over it. The spray action happened on the release of the skunk. Stood way back, opened the trap with a pole. Skunk took two steps out of the trap, then like lightning sprinted about a yard backwards as it let loose.
