I love the No Rain live version….not sure what’s so decadent about these guys – but good tunes. I suppose Nirvana could be considered a touch depraved since the whole messed up life and suicide thing. Good tunes man….thanks, was rather enjoyable with the morning coffee :) cheers

I suppose the decadence in the title is about the death of the lead vocalist in each of those bands. Brad Nowell of Sublime, Curt Cobain of Nirvana, and Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon.

Oh well I guess that would do it...I only knew of Cobain off the top of the old noodle.

    Definitely.

I caught that connection before I even saw all three links.

You could add Bradley Delp from Boston, Ian curtis from Joy Division, Michael Hutchence from INXS, Stuart Adamson from Big Country, Layne Staley from Alice In Chains, and probably a few more too.

    RIP

I was so disappointed when Shannon Hoon killed himself - I have both albums on my Ipod.

I was extremely upset when Kurt was found dead. I'll never believe it was a suicide. Pretty much impossible to do it with a shotgun and not have visible signs of trauma. But yes the decadence is in reference to these three guys had the world in their hands and tore it all down with drugs.
Kurt had was using heroin and valium at the time of his death.
    Bradley Nowell overdosed on heroin.
    Shannon Hoon overdosed on cocaine.
I picked these three solely because they are personal favorites and were then not to mention the fact that all three were big influences on rock as we know it. These guys saved us from the 80's man. LOL
