I have tons of this redsea pom pom in my biocube that i prob could frag up every two weeks and it will grow back in that time. But im selling it for $8 a stock, for one reason the cheapest LFS around sales for $20 a stock, and everytime i have been trying to find pom pom, i can never find it on craigslist and no one has it..so i guess its kinda more of a rarer coral in my area.

Is $8 a stock bad or okay?

Thats actually pretty good because it grows crazily fast so you can frag it and trade it in for some cash .

I've read of people selling Xenia frags locally, and then all of a sudden people stop buying them because there are only a limited number of saltwater tanks in a given area and the Xenia grows so well. Also, a lot of reefers see it as more of a pest than anything else. There might be a reason you don't see anybody selling, maybe nobody wants it. $8 is a decent price but don't count on making a business out of selling Xenia. :)

    That's exactly what happened here.
I sold some xenia to a few people in the local reef club, but now everyone who wanted some has it and everyone else thinks it's a "weed" and doesn't want it at all.

I can't give the stuff away .... guess I'll just start throwing it out. :(

I have a 10 gallon tank dedicated to nothing but xenia. It grows so fast and nobody in my local club wants it. So i just take about 10 good pieces at a time every 3 weeks or so to the LFS and trade it in for credit. As of now I have made about $300 in credit. It pays for all my dry goods...some people hate xenia, but im loving it!

I was going to suggest something similiar to ^^. I used to breed black mollies and use them for store credit to buy mice for my snakes.
