I'm new to the boards but not to the hobby. here are pics of my tank

I have had saltwater aquariums for the last 12 years from as small as 12 gal (before nano reefs became popular... and they made fun of me for doing it!) to my current tank a 90 corner.

I have a full reef with a fuel bio load of fish. I have a chemistry degree, so it comes in handy with this hobby.

Absolutely gorgeous tank. Welcome to 3reef!
Is that a frilly mushroom or some kind of leather coral?

Thanks for posting your routine - that was my next question!
Sea chem kilo block - that is interesting. I haven't seen someone with a block in a while - did you do a before and after test with that? I'd be curious to see the results.

when i first started using the block, i was doing tests weekly. i monitor ph electronicly. the readings remained stable. especially calcium. i add the strotium and iodine as an addone even though the block takes care of it. the two items i believe should be a little higher than normal in a closed system. especially one with as many items as mine
