    Well I dont know where he came from but I think its pretty interesting. Its incredible how good it camoflages into the surrounding area. He could be right in front of me and I would still have a tough time finding him :eek:.

    Yup, Decorator Crab

    Anybody have one in their aquarium? I think I read there not reef safe, but not sure.

    I believe they are considered not reef safe since they pick corals up and no crab is truly safe, I have two emerald crabs which I believe are responsible for the loss of a tiny pygmy angle and a 3 stripe damsel I had...so any crab can do damage. I still have my emeralds though...just nature doing its thing...

    i had an emerald that ate my maroon for lunch one day. the only crabs i will keep from now on are hermits

    I had one but he did not survive my move. He was very interesting, poked at polyps all over but I wouldn't mind keeping one again in an established reef. He was very personable, let me hand feed him and would climb on top of rocks and jump, float to the bottom and then climb up and jump again. Entertaining to watch. If you have an opportunity to obtain a gorgonian, get one, they like to hang from them to catch food as it passes by.

    In that case, ill keep him. I don't mind him attaching some polyps once in a while :yaknow:.
