Was thinking of getting this fixture and want some other options or a review? Opinions?

It's going on a 30" wide salt water tank and I'm gonna be keeping all sorts of coral (anything that looks good) and a few anemones.

Given the fact that I can't even find it when I search google for Deep Blue 430, Deep Blue 430 aquarium, or deep blue 430 aquarium light, I would say it's a bad idea. Look for a mainstream light.

Is that supposed to be a led kit, t5ho or metal halide?

I have the solarextreme 436 T5 (4 bulb 36") fixture. I picked it up a couple months ago and so far it has worked well. Built in timers and only one cord are nice and it only gets slightly hot. It comes complete with a hanging kit and legs so you have multiple options of putting it over your tank.

    A few downfalls:
I will warn you that the built in led moonlights don't last that long. Also, there are no individual reflectors. It is a solid piece of aluminum folded into v-shapes. I don't think this makes much difference as I am getting plenty of light throughout.

Also, switch out the stock bulbs after a few months.

Overall I would recommend this to others especially if you're looking for an inexpensive T5 set that has built in timers and all the mounting hardware.

only problem is the light isnt 30 inches long, but neither are quality bulbs. What size tank is this? a 20 long comes to mind. the light I linked would be more than enough, just hang that sucker a little higher than normal for optimal spread. (if its a 20 long)

My 2bulb 24" t5ho with tek reflectors covers my 3ft 40breeder with no trouble. He'll be just fine. (using it alongside my single AI on that tank)
