You know I've never had any reactors in the nano I've kept, and really haven't done much research on them. I'm guessing with water changes, and small total water volume, I've been able to avoid the need for them so far. But something ill have to look into.

The stand isn't done yet, I'm still trying to figure out what look I want to go with. So the location it's at now is temporary. I am still thinking about painting the back black, but haven't made up my mind there yet either.

I saw a really nice looking stand that I'd like to copy, does anyone know where I can find doors like these?

Another little project I'm working on. I like the idea of being able to move some frags around on the overflow wall if I wanted.

no clue on the doors, but as far as the reactors go, for me at least, its not about keeping your prams right, its about keeping the wife happy. running carbon prevents my office from smelling like a fish market, and its shines up the water pretty good. and a reactor with carbon is more efficient than i filter bag with carbon. you might have not noticed the smell because it was a nano tank, but the bigger they get the smellier they get.

an open window works wonders for the smell in the spring/summer, but not so much in the winter up here in CT.

Making some progress on the stand. First time building anything so I'm finding I'm redoing a lot of stuff. Side doors are rigged to be removable. Still need to find some doors, waterproof paint the inside of the stand, and stain the outside.

I think this will be the final rock scape. Sand will go in and cover up the PVC

Looks good a nice setup, get water in it already. Kidding, getting it right from the beginning is the best for sure.

I know I'm ready to fill it up... I'll be moving in a couple months so I'm hesitant to set it up just to have to tear it down and move it

I know it's not what you want to hear, but moving from tank to tank is really hard on everything in the tank. When I moved from a 65g to a 125g 3 feet away I had quite a few corals die and the fish had seen better days. I personally wouldn't put anything in the tank. I would build everything and fille it up with tap water and make sure nothing leaks, but I personally wouldn't stock it.

I agree. Next thing to do is get the plumbing put together to test everything.

Quick question: what advice do you have for the plumbing?

In the past I had to glue everything to prevent leaking. I want to avoid that so I can take apart later on. Also I've heard to put a ball valve after the return pump to dial back flow if necessary. So basically, after the bulkhead under the tank, are there certain PVC parts to use to connect pipes and such
