Im going to upgrade my light fixture from the basic single bulb hood that came with the tank to a Deep Blue HO T5 fixture. Has two T5 bulbs and 4 led moonlights. Does anyone have any experience with these? Looking for feedback.
Its a 36 gallon (Bowfront if that matters) reef tank, not quite reef status yet, been up for two months and Im gonna add fish soon, but eventually I want some softies.

Yeah, personally for a fixture that size 4 bulbs is not that much more. Never heard of that company, I would go with something more reputable ie. Aquatic Life or Current USA Nova

The Deep Blue Series was put out by Royal Pet Supplies last year. I do not like their 2 bulb fixtures at all. One plug for everything. The moonlights are always on and the bulbs are sub par. If you want a Deep Blue fixture, go with the 4-bulb 24" fixture. It still only has 1 plug though. You will want to replace the bulbs almost right away. The moonlights tend to go out on them as well. There is only a 90 day warranty on them and the company makes you fight for every claim.

For the price, I would recommend going to reefgeek.com and buying a fixture with bulbs from them. It will be a better fixture and your choice of top of the line bulbs.

If you don't plan on keeping coral or any photosynthetic organisms, that fixture will be fine for you.
