    So for about 3 months my GARF Bonsai has had this deeper purple section verses the other part on the coral. What is this and should I be worried?

    Bottom left part of coral;

    Not sure but very pretty coral. I kind of like the purple section, seeing it has good PE I would tend to think its no biggie

    Thanks, I love it a lot. I hope its nothing too big, but sometimes small things can be a sign of something big.

    To be honest, I think it is just a part of the bonsai. Very very very pretty coral. One of my favorites. I'm going to try to find one of them myself.

    Thats what I was thinking but it looks unhealthy in that area. I'v seen Bonsai and they tend to be that deep purple but the deeper colored flesh looks "bad".

    I see a very healthy looking green polyp right in the mix with that deep purple. From my experience, if it were any sort of necrosis it wouldn't be polyping there. I could be wrong but I think it looks ok buddy. It also looks like it is "sprouting" there.

    When I search them up it seems most are a deep purple color period but other color morphs also pop up. Maybe it is just a unique color morph that will be multiple colors as it grows

    Wow, I hope it's just transforming into a beautiful Acro. :)

    Thanks guys.

    If anyone sees or knows of any diseases that would possibly look like this please chime in.

    True GARF is supposed to be that color, do you know what kind of lights the frag was originally under? how much has grown since you've had it?

    Looking like normal. That's is the true color of a bonsai.
