Well this being the beginning of the rifle season (at least here in PA) I was wondering if anyone else went out and got anything. I went out and got a 6-point buck. I saw him just before dark walking in front of me at about 125 yards and after I shot him he only went about 30 or so yards down a bank. It was really a great ending to the day:). P.S. Pic is my avatar (at least for a while)

very cool. You grow them big down there! lol I like that you took them with a bow. Like I said we also bow hunt but I've never seen any deer with anywhere near the size of those racks. K++

You know I agree. i hate sitting in the woods with guns firing every 10 min and having the deer freaked out. It also gives you a great challenge to bow hunt and you gotta put your self in a good spot. I got a doe that walked up to 10 yards and never saw me in bow season (hes in the freezer). But rifle is still fun.

I got a doe on opening morning of archery and haven't shot one since. Shotgun season just went out last Sunday here. Muzzleloader is in for another 2 weeks then late archery till 1st sunday in Jan. I like bow hunting better also, but I still go out with my 12 guage.

Here is a pic of the 8 I got during shotgun last year, he is on the wall looking at the tank now!
