DefDad's 46 Bowfront

I have had this tank for about 3 years as a freshwater tank and about 3 months ago started turning it into a saltwater tank. Here is the first picture of the tank (more to come). I will be adding more rock and more equipment as my wife permits. This pick is from about 6 weeks ago.

You're gonna have fun trying to set up all of the rock just the way you want it.
Your wife is going to have to be like all of the other 3Reef wives/husbands, shaking their heads and rolling their eyes, lol.
Some of our spouses/significant others even join in the hobby.
My boyfriend is wanting to start up his own tank. He cant figure out what he wants tho, lol. Everyday he looks at the fish online, at the LFS or on 3reef and squeals "I WANT THAT ONE!!! HE'S MY FRIEND!!!" Lol

 

lol i get more then rolling eyes apparently im a fish nerd ;D oh well but have u thaught of any fish u would want

Ok. I finally pulled my hands out of the tank and dried them off enough to take a few more pictures so here are a few more to get up to date. I have added more rock since the first pic and have started stocking.

What's next...

Right now I am saving for a protien skimmer and lights. I am currently relying on a Rena Xp2 canister filter(cleaned weekly) and a standard single bulb fixture(with 50/50 bulb). In the mean time I am working on DIY moonlights.
