    Microbubbles!!!

I am getting so frustrated with my skimmer. It is a Coralife Super Skimmer 65. It seems to skim really well, pulling out some nasty stuff, but the microbubbles coming out of it are driving me crazy!

I have got to figure out some way to get a sump hooked to this tank. I have no room in the stand for one, but I have it sitting in a corner with a triangle shaped space in the back. I need to take some measurements and see what will fit back there. :furious3:

    10 Gallon Sump Added

I figured out I had just enough room for a standard 10 gallon tank behind my display tank. I made 3 separate sections, first section has the overflow box drain and the skimmer, the second section has a small powerhead and my heater(I may be making that into a refugium), the third section has the inlet pipe of my canister filter(will be getting a return pump hopefully soon) so I am using the canister as the return pump. I also made the stand myself because I needed a shorter than standard stand.

I was putting everything in behind my tank and making all the adjustments and then realized I did not take even one picture. Maybe I can get a few pics from the top and sides. I was up until 1:30am this morning trying to get it all adjusted properly so I would not flood the house in case of a power outage, but I finally got it figured out and my bubble troubles are gone. Now I just need to get rid of this algae!

Wow that's awesome. Your water's going to be squeaky clean with a skimmer canister filter going at the same time :)

    One word. Pics? :D

I may not be seeing it right, but it looks like thats your temperature probe on the right side of the tank, the same side as the heater. I think I would put them on opposite sides. Not anything huge, but its always going to read high if its right beside the heating element.

Great looking tank by the way!!!

The tank is still new enough that I am still in the process of moving things around quite often. Right now I have the heater in the sump and the thermometer in the display. One of these days I'll get everything just the way I want it, then I guess I'll upgrade. ;D

How's the tank doing? Been a few weeks since this thread has been updated!
