very nice tank! I like how you made the screen for yours with a seperate peice of plexiglass for the back. I might remake mine and do what you did. I made just one whole screen that went around every little thing in the back of the tank and it was a P.I.T.A. lol.

Thanks. Yeah, that sounds like it would be a real pain. The only problem with the plexiglass is that it is warping now and tonight I did some maintenance and was trying to bend it back in shape and it broke. It still works for now though. Now that I have the skimmer in the sump, I may be able to use a standard splash shield from a glass cover and attach it to the screen so it won't warp.

Right now I am thinking about a new stand to put the sump in. It is a real pain to climb a step ladder and lean over the display to do anything in the sump.

I am also looking into buying a larger tank for a fish only setup. I would love to have a Humuhumunukunukuapua'a. Say that fast 3 times.:p

Thanks for the info, i just set up my 46 gallon tank sunday, but since I am military and transferring in 6 months, i am not setting it up saltwater just yet, but i am buying stuff slowly for a reef tank so the cost is not so great. I have my tank set up with Ciclids right now, i put in 50 pounds of silicate free sand and i aquascaped with Texas Holey Rock. I purchased a second HOB Penguin 200 filter. And i am getting a Reef Light in the mail today for my tank. It is a 192 watt Marineland Light with 12000K Day lights, the actinic Blue lights, and the LED lights. I also bought 2 power heads, and a Timer for my lights. Next step is a UV filter and a Protein Skimmer. When i transfer all i will need is Live Rock, Live Sand and the Salt mix. I already have test kits and a Hygrometer.

    Sounds like a good plan.
