if you dont want them at all you could do a kalk paste and get rid of them like that or even boiling water on them.

you could frag them, should not be that hard and you'll have a ton of frags.

or you could just leave those pices out and try using fewer pices w/o the corals on them.

Why don't you try selling them on craigslist or something then just buy some dry rock to replace it?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
As much as I love the look of blue cloves, if you do not want them in the new tank ( and I understand why) I would either nuke the rock or much better yet get some new rock.
It's amazing how you can let one little tiny speck of that stuff live and 4 months down the line you have the same problem.

    It's a gamble.

I mean, it does look really nice.. adds a lot of color to the tank.. but people have told me that they strangle zoanthids.. and I like the look of the actual rock.

I wonder how much I could get for these rocks. The only thing that i dont like is that i have a lot of zoanthids on the rocks growing next to these cloves.

It grows so fast and there is no way of isolating it. If I had a bigger tank it would be different (180g) because it would take a while to spread.. but I am only upgrading to 75g and I am not planning on buying a lot more rock.

I'd be intersected in buying if you decide to sell, I also have quite a bit of base rock from a build if you'd want to work a trade

Its crappy when there other corals on the rocks.I've heard that those blue cloves can become a problem.I just recently removed a 12 lb rock that had some waving hand, and about 12 hairy mushrooms on it.I wanted to mount some acropora frags on it,and those softies would have killed everything.I had just did a water change, saved the water, and let it settle.Took the rock outside and as quick as possible (5 minutes) took a pressure washer to it :) It just stripped everything off it,not a trace left.Let it soak in the pail of saved water change water for a 1/2 hr.Put back into tank, zero problems. It's been in the tank for weeks, covered in sps.Nothing at all is growing back. And due to having over a 100 lbs of live rock,no cycle.

It sucks because a lot of this rock is large pieces and already has acros and zoas all over it.

Do you guys think that these clove polyps are that much of a nuisance and would kill zoas and other corals? So far it hasnt been too much of a problem other than not being able to see the rock.
