So I bought this female blue throat trigger and decided a few weeks later to get a matching male. They were buddies for weeks and then I got a rabbit fish. Suddenly the male started to be with the rabbit fish all the time and the female kinda got left behind. Now the weird part is the male changed colors and eventually became a female also.

My problem now is that the original female that doesn't have a buddy has been acting really depressed for weeks. I never see it eating but isn't losing weight that I can see. It just hides and swims around aimlessly when it comes out once the lights go out. I just don't want to see it die.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

i honestly do not have a clue, but i would suggest taking the rabbit out if the two triggers seemed to get along before it was introduced. just my .02,HTH

After my Male passed my Female Became male. He is still shy, but comes out and eats like crazy. I would personally remove the rabbitfish but that is me.

so about a week ago i woke up to it against the vents of the overflow. thinking it was dead i grabbed it out and it moved around like i woke it up but not like it was doing too well. I put it in refugium at that point where it has been either hiding in a corner or swimming like its doing water summersalts. Its really weird. We have been thinking that its either blind or has some sort of mental problems. At this point I have to hand feed it by letting it attach to my cupped hand and putting food against its nose. If I dont do that it wont eat.

At this point we dont know if we should flush it or let it suffer. I mean it hasnt been a normal fish for over a month. and it feels like its a slow death.
