I couldn't seem to find information about how deep a coast to coast overflow should be, i'm going to be using a bean animal overflow approach and had some questions about the depth of the c2c. Just not sure about how deep to make the c2c to allow the 90's to have proper siphon, and keep any snails out without having to put up egg crates. Ive seen some people cut teeth on the 90's which id be willing to try, just a bit confused about the distance between the c2c and 90's.

I believe 4" to 6" depending on the size of bulkheads you are using. I would mock something up using cardboard and your bulkheads/elbows to see how it looks.

Yeah there is no right answer here, its going to depend on the materials you purchased.

I used Schedule 80 bulkheads from Bulk Reef Supply, and they are much much larger than the uniseals I've had on other tanks. Also, a schedule 80 elbow, a street elbow, and a schedule 40 elbow will all be a bit different in terms of size.

Mine is 6" deep with sched 80 bulkheads (1.5") and schedule 80 Street 90 degree elbows.
