Im trying to design a simple and efficient sump closet, This is what i have so far, im trying to think it through, maybe someone can point out some mistakes or suggestions.

    The dimensions are:

    Sump 30"by30"by30" 108gal
    Salt Mix/Top off 18"by24"by24" 40gal
    Fuge 30"by12"by18" 30gal
    Frag 36"by18"by12" 30gal

Im building this closet outside the house right in back of the tank. For ventilation humidity and cooling, im planning to put a small air conditioner on the top. Will the ac work propperly with the humidity? I was planning on a cheap little $80 unit, so it wont be a problem replacing it every couple years or so.

Wow that is amazing -- alot going on there. I have no idea about the A/C
is your fuge going to return straight to the DT or back to the sump?

I could never do that outside my house since it gets so cold here.

Fuge overflows to the sump. Id like to keep a clean look around the tank, so i dont want an extra return from fuge visible. You got me thinking though, if i could some how plumb my fuge overflow to go to my main return pipe after the actual pipe so the fuge's water doesnt go through pump but just gets pushed to tank that would be nice. Less pods chopped up etc...

You think that would work? Anyone did that before somehow? I cant seem to figure out how to make it possible.

I had my fuge above my tank on my old system. I really like it, there were times the fish would hang out by the area where the water fell into the tank from the fuge and you could see them munching on the pods and whatever else. It was way cool since the water just fell back to the tank rather then getting blown all over from a pump.

Quite the project you got going on there. Are you going to build a roof with shingles or will your current overhang cover it? How will you access it?

thats probably the best way to fee your pods to the fish, make it easy to catch them, hehe.

I havn't thought about the roof, there is no overhang so it will have to have a roof. Im remodeling my house right now so im going to have the contractor help.
