Ordered 2 buckets of RC - which I do not normally use because of cost difference - (and some other stuff) shipping only $12.99

Old discount code "Dodge" no longer works...

    But other discounts here:

Drs Foster and Smith Coupons and Drs Foster and Smith Coupon Codes

Just post code in order sequence and will be deducted from bill....makes shipping even cheaper.

Ouch Dustin...check a little closer...got to read the fine print. Of course you may be much closer so may not be so much.

May get 4th bucket free...put you will pay for it in the shipping.

Unlike DFS that bases shipping amount on cost...

Hate to disagree, but DFS still a better deal as far as I can see....at least for me. :-/

I must be lucky because the lfs I go to has reef crystals for about the same price. I've never thought about it much because it was always so much cheaper than any other place. But then again I know I'm lucky because Kogle went to Uncle Bill's for years before finding this place then let me know as soon as I started my tank!! Bout half the price on most stuff... makes you wonder how much $ the other stores are makin... goes back to basic principles of "Make a living, not a killing!"

If even could get at same price or near it locally (which I can't - :() Savings in sales tax + DFS "discount coupon" --- still makes better deal ordering on line. :)

Actually seems to me to be a flaw in DFS pricing scheme to base shipping totally on $ spent, then actually on weight. :-/

As beleiver in regular significant water changes, I go through quite a bit of salt a year.

Going to order some more, unless someone here can come up with a better deal elsewhere...;D

PS: Checked local Petsmart also .... they charge $49.99 for bucket of IO (and then again 9.5% sales tax for me...:()

Again, sticking with DFS for salt purchases...

    Thanks geekdafied for tip!

(Last salt purchase was from LFS couple of years ago who got in misshipped extra pallet of IO. He sold off lot for $25 a bucket. I guess I bought a dozen - and lived off of for long time...but even at this price, when sales tax taken into consideration, not much of a savings then this current DFS internet price.)

For you it is problably not so good, but for me it is great. 20 bucks for 4 buckets to be shipped is cheaper than the 4th bucket. But I guess it is all based on location, for you very pricey. I bought 4 buckets last time they ran this sale. Around here a five gallon bucket can go from 49.99-69.99 for IO. What makes it funny is that IO and RC are made (i believe) in Mentor, OH, not far from here.
