I added a diamond goby to my 20h 6 days ago. He started sifting sand a but then the next day I couldn't find him. I saw where he dug a lil hole under a rock. So I though he was makin his burrow. Well I decided I wanted to trade him back to the lfs cuz I never see him. I did a water change and re arranged my rock, I look underneath the rock and he wasn't there. Dug in the sand, could find him. Is it normal for these to completley bury themselves?

No, but it is normal for them to jump. I've lost one or two that way. Look behind the tank.

I did, not under my bed, behind the tank, or in the filter.... Has an eggcrate top. All i have is 2 clowns and 2 crabs and 8 snails, i dont think they could have found him in the sand and eatin him that fast or i would have seen him

FYI, sometimes fish may much longer then 6 days to fully acclimate. so give them some time to adjust, so they can show their actual behavior
