    i tried that when i first got mine and you are exactly right, the nas snails beat him to it every time.

    Ugh. I was worried about that. I didn't have those snails last time. So how did you resolve?

    i didn't resolve it, he did. he leaves the sand and swims around eating with everyone else.

    Yep, mine did the same thing. He would even come up 20 some inches or so and eat off of the nori clip! Great fish!

    Thanks Say. I am happy to say that I buried some small pellet food near his lair last night and he snagged it before the nas. snails got there. I think he was upset I messed with his doormat and then he found the food. :)

    that's good to hear. in all honesty i had forgotten that burying the food was recommended for the diamond goby. i might give it another try.
