My young 75g has a Diatom out brake. There are 6 dwarf hermits in there but they don't seem to making an impact. I've contacted reef cleaners but not placed an order yet, probably next week.

In the mean time, is there something I can pick up to eat the diatoms, or just let leave them alone and let be?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
My advice is just keep doing routine water changes with ro/di and wait it out. As frustrating and ugly as it is, it should fade within a couple of weeks.

I have not done a water change yet. Dis not see a reason to, all my water parameters are good, Ph is a little low 7.8, Nitrate 5, SG 1.025 the rest all 0.

Is this a new tank I am assuming? if it is....This is quite normal...It is something that is part of the cycle in a new tank. I would do regular water changes and in my tank(about a year ago) i had a cyano and diatom outbreak, params were all good though...It is part of that invisible thing you cant test for what causes the outbreaks..Let it take its course...It should be gone shortly.

Go ahead an do a water change of 10 to 15%,diatoms are typical in new setups or when you add a new piece of equipment containing plastics with silicates, and i agree they usually will go away in a short time on there own.

Did a water change last night, well actually 12:00 am, (wife's out of town do I don't sleep much).

Tried to vacuum up the diatoms with turkey baster and the siphon tube.
