So it has been a week since my cycle has ended and I am starting to notice small patches of diatoms. Is this good or bad??? I just did a water change but I hate the way my clownfish freaks out every time I do one...:(

Diatoms live off silicates, I wouldn't worry. They seem to disappear relatively quickly.

diatoms are ugly but a rite of passage that all new tanks go through, they will dissapear on their own if your tank is stable and has cycled.
