    well what i did to get rid of it was build a algae scrubber and it went away in two weeks that was over a year ago with no water changes or anything in the last year and have never had that problem again just mt 2 cents worth

    Well I un covered the tank and all the algae is gone off the rocks and back wall, small little algae on the substrate but looks 10x better already! Thinking of creating an algae scrubber to prevent this from happening again, water change yes or no?
