    Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a Bermuda BPS-C3 skimmer for my 120 I am setting up. Anyone know anything about these skimmers? Did I get a decent one. It at the very least looks very nice! Thanks!

I knew someone on 3Reef would be able to confirm for me if it sounds like a decent product!! I must admit, I bought it because it looked well built and compared to the price of the Red Sea Berwin models I was going to buy at 300+ dollars I think I got a decent deal???

I really know nothing about it. my LFS (or should I say not so local) uses them on all their tanks and had nothing but good things to say about them.

Apparently they have some patent pending technology that is supposed to cut down on cleaning and clogs.

Here is a cut and paste from their site..

Anti-clogging SCHLETZ INJECTOR (patent pending) Does Not Rely On a Needle-Wheel Pump

NO MOVING PARTS THAT BREAK DOWN OR WEAR.

ASPIRATES DOUBLE THE VOLUME OF AIR OF OTHER SKIMMERS. ~Making it ten times as efficient as a common skimmer.

Plumb inside or outside your sump. ~This versatility comes in handy for tight spaces.

THE SCHLETZ INJECTOR & VORTEX ACT ON CONTACT TIME

    THE SILENCER, provides quiet operation

    STRONG MATERIALS & OZONE SAFE

see that's why I need you guys. I don't know, but now that you say it it makes sense.

I'll post more when I get it set up. hoping to have the tank in cycle mode by mid week. Just have some plumbing to do.

i thought about it i guess the newer skimmers that have the self cleaning neck would have moving parts. but i wouldn't be worried about your skimmer wearing down, even the pump should last along time with matinence.

hopefully it does a good job i had a skimmer that relied on waterflow to suck in air i thought it did a horrible job:-/ i like my coralife needlewheel skimmer, does a good job.

but i only have expierence with those two skimmers so i would get input from others also
