did i disenfect good enough?

i got a bucket from the attic and was wanting to make sure it is safe for my aquariums (mix water). the way i disenfected was

used warm water
dried
vinegar
dried
warm water
dried.

was that good enough? or what else should i do?

 

I just used 50/50 vinegar/water. Let dry out. Rinse once, the put it to use. This was a10g fish tank.

 

so should i do that too. or should i be good?

 

eh...you let it dry then you used warm water. I'd think it should be fine to use.

 

i wiped it dry. not air dry. sorry i didnt specify.
