Did i just create my first fuge

i just got my RC order and i ordered some inverts also ended up getting some plants, lol no idea what they are i first put them in the DT then they went everywhere so gathered up as much as i could, i have a aqueon 30 that i have been running my carbon i took the carbon out shoved the plants and a small rock from my nano, it's not life yet still base and i just kind of shoved everything in there, will this work? Now if it does not i have place to run my carbon

 

whats the flow like?

 

not sure ill google the filter to see if they have anything on it

 

A lot of people convert hang on filters into refugiums but I think that it's a bit more involved than what you did

lol ok i had no idea what i was doing i got it in the order and wanted to put it to use and just stuffed it in

 

so do you think this would work ok as a fuge even though i didnt mod it like most people do

I think he was asking how the flow was coming through the filter now that you've put the "plants" and rock in there.

Google "converting a hang on filter into a refugium" and you'll find a lot of build info. If you do decide to build a refugium from a hang on filter, you're still going to need something to run carbon through so you'll need another hang on filter eventually.
