I noticed last night that I was missing one green Chromis in my tank and then noticed that my bubble coral looked quite a bit fatter and very content ... I looked around the outside of the tank and everywhere inside and nothing . The bubble coral is a little a little bigger than the size of a baseball, and the Chromis was about 3/4" ... Its the only thing in my tank large enough to even be a posibility ...

Its a possibility, but then again fish come up missing and never seen from again. Fish tanks have a way with making things disappear.

Geek is right. I have had things disappear without a trace. Where did they go? Don't know and never found out. Bermuda triangle symdrome.

Hmmm , I know Ive read about a few instances with members here with disappearing fish . I really think it was the bubble though, he was just too fat looking last night and this morning . Plus he just looks guilty !

My maroon clown hosts my bubble coral. At night the clown sleeps deep inside of the bubble coral. They have had this relationship for almost 2 years. Definitely possible that the bubble ate your chromis but, doubt it. Have you checked around the outside/behind your tank on the floor?

Yes , I did a very careful search all around the outside and behind the tank. Even carefully looked through the back filter compartments. Nothing to be found... I guess I'll never know

Does he look guilty? This was shot last night in the dark in nightshot mode. All three Chromis were still in the tank about 15 mins before this video was taken . I noticed one missing right after this video was shot . YouTube - Guilty or not

I doubt the bubble coral could catch a fish. What's more likely in my opinion is that the fish died of some unknown cause and the cleanup crew got to him. Hermit crabs, snails, and other members can get to things very quickly. Mine all but eliminated a sleeper goby in a couple hours. If the bubble coral got the fish, it was probably weak or dead.
