different arrangement of LR and corals

    I was thinking about making my (soon to be) 150 gallon reef with LR that slopes or has a steep dropoff so that half of the tank will be deep and the other half will be very shallow.

    Sort of like this-

    It looks more natural to me.
    What do you guys think?

    Personally I love the tanks that have a canyon type formation. I think your idea would look great.

    Great idea and I cannot wait to see your aquascape. Just make sure you have some way of supporting the structure so you do not have a collapse that can take out your corals or worse your tank. I have seen many people using PVC lately.

    very cool idea, I picture like a shelved reef with open water on the left and the rock piled on the right. Kinda like you're looking at a reef from the side-view, that would be cool.
