I got a Royal Gramma, Lamar, a couple days ago and I've noticed that he is digging tunnels under all the LR. I'm afraid that he is going to dig so much that it will cave in on him. How bad would it be to fill in some of the holes?

It probably wont be a problem. I wouldnt worry about it. If it makes you feel better you can fill in some of the holes but he will likely dig them out again.

If you're really concerned, you can stack your live rock on PVC pipe (burried under the sand). Do have any caves for him to hide in? If you don't, you could also try making a cave or two. I never had a problem with mine digging, but have had other fish that do.

In the future make sure to place your rocks or aquascape on top of PVC pipes like mindy said, or the other solution is placing the rocks on top of the glass instead of the sand that way you wont have to worry about a rock-slide later on.
