Digital Temp Warning Device...

    I have one of these devices on each of my tanks. An extra measure of insurance on letting me know immediatly if something going haywire in tank...and have served purpose well on more then one occasion...(failing heater, unplugging, etc)


    You should always verify digital temp reading with a floating type thermometer, and never, never adjust heater controls based only on digital readings. (Big mistake I made once upon a time...[​IMG] )



    Point being, readings will be come wildly inaccurate as battery in them starts to fail. :-/

    An annual battery swapout would be a good idea. Like plan on doing every time you change out lights...

    Once again, "extra insurance"

    I learned the hard way too. My digi was about 6 degrees off. I finally bought a floating one and seen that I was running my tank very warm.
