I have dino flangettes (slimy brown stringy stuff) collecting on my cheato. I dont want to release these back into the tank becuase thats how they spread and im starting to win the battle aginst em. Anyways can I pull my cheato ball out and wash it under some water?

Only reason im asking is I feel like I have read somewhere that if you do this it will kill it.

Is this in a refugium? If it is, leave it alone.

I got some Cheato, from a friend and it was full of B-worms, So I done a freshwater dip to get rid of them.. And the Cheato was OK..
