Probably close enough. When did you stop running Phosguard?

I wanna say about a week ago, my phosphates were down to 0.04 so I took the phosguard out of service

I'm afraid that means I probably have nothing of much help for you. That said, if it were me, before giving up in despondancy, I would run some phosban in a reactor for a few days and see what happens. Don't delay any other remedy as a result, just do it at the same time.

Ok well it seems as though I am losing the war against these nasty things as they are getting worse every day, so here is what I'm thinking about doing let me know what you guys think, if you guys tell me not to this then I won't but I'm running out of ideas.

I have been considering rearranging my scape anyways so my though was to do a 10-20 gallon water change and place the old water into a decent size container either a brute or rubbermaid tote. Then pull out all my rocks and give them a scrubbing of a life time not with a toothbrush but something more abbrassive. I'd place all my corals on the sand bed while I do this then before putting the rocks back in I'd guve the back glass a good cleaning then put the rocks back in and replace the corals.

What do you guys think of this idea? I know its a little radical but like I said I'm running out of ideas, if you guys think this could cause a mini cycle or possibly harm my fish and/or corals then I'll have to come up with something else.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I think you might run into a mini cycle.

Are you still doing water changes? I had to stop water changes completely. Manually clean off all dino daily with a turkey baster and clean mechanical filtration after it all settled out.

My black was a total of 4 days complete, then I started out a 3 hours and as soon as I saw dino start to grow I turned off the lights and again cleaned it.

I did water changes and ran purigen and chemipure elite until the cows came home and the dino just laughed at it.

I haven't done a water change since the black out, the turkey baster doesn't seem to get all of it off the rocks, it seems to have gotten a better hold on the rocks now, I can get some but it doesn't all come off. I can brush it off with a toothbrush but trying to blow it off or suck it up with a turkey baster isn't working.

Do you think I should try another black out?

What if I scrubbed one rock at time, instead of taking them all outvat once, take one out, scrub it, put it back, take another out and so on?

Sorry I just do not know.

I suppose if that is all your left with is scrubbing the rocks a couple at a time.

There is a thread that I want to look at see if there is another reasonable treatment.

I had Dino for 3 month approximately prior to figuring it out and successfully treating it, so maybe mine had run it's course.

You have what corals and inverts again? Did the BTA make it?
